Many people try to learn English grammar from books. A quick explanation by a teacher is often quicker and more efficient. Our teachers can help you to understand why you make mistakes and how to correct those mistakes.

Here are the grammar lessons we offer. Each one is 30 minutes and includes a written summary of the topic and a quiz so you can test yourself.

Specialised grammar lessons

Question forms (BLI)
This lesson looks at how to makes questions in English, when to use ‘do’ and the difference between open and closed questions.

Word order (BLI)
In this lesson, you will look at the rules for constructing English sentences and questions.

Present simple vs. present continuous (LI)
This lesson explains the difference between I live in Paris and I’m living in Paris.

Past simple vs. present perfect (IU)
This lesson answers the question: why are I lived in Berlin for 10 years and I have lived in Berlin for 10 years different?

Modals of obligation (LIU)
In this lesson, you will examine the difference between ‘must’, ‘should’ and ‘have to’.

Modals of possibility (LIU)
This lesson explains the relationship of ‘will’, ‘could’, ‘may’ and ‘might’.
