Story writing project – travel vocabulary

Today we are starting a new series focusing on important vocabulary for travel.

We are going to give the first two paragraphs of a story about a trip to Paris.

How the story continues depends on you!

We would like you to send us ideas to develop the story.

If you send us an idea, a problem, a situation connected to travel, we will write the next part. Go to Contact Us or use the comment box at the bottom of this page.

But, if you send us a complete paragraph, we will add it to the story and send you individual feedback on your writing.

London to Paris

~ My Trip to  Paris ~

Last month I wanted to go away for a long weekend. I decided to go to Paris because I could take the train from London and I’ve never travelled on the Eurostar. I booked the tickets and the hotel online and got a great discount so I was really pleased.

I had to arrive at the station half an hour before the train was going to leave because I had to check in and go through passport control. It’s really difficult to park in London so I decided to go by taxi. That’s where things started to go wrong!

Now you tell us how to continue.

  1. I got a taxi , unfortunately ,the street was very crowded ,due to there was an annual carnival day that increased my tension. Finally, I arrived train station and I finished all procedures very quickly .so I was able to catch the train just moments before leaving. I took a deep breath when I arrived Paris.
